From their off-grid distillery in the Kinglake Ranges, Sam Lowe and Chantal Daniels craft whisky with a bold, textural style. In the Blood pushes that character further through the rare use of native Red Gum oak. Matured 3 years and 10 months in ex-bourbon casks, then finished in 50–85L Red Gum barrels coopered by fourth-generation master George Smithwick, it’s a whisky rooted in landscape, lineage, and craft. Expect chocolate, raspberry liqueur and pink grapefruit, leading to a long, structured finish of dark beer, clove, malt, cumin and black cherry. Elemental and unmistakably Kinglake – whisky with grit in its DNA.
