Crafted in the heart of Victoria’s High Country, Backwoods Toasted Tawny Cask Whisky is a small-batch single malt that speaks of place and process. Using 100% Australian grain and their signature red gum-smoked malt, Backwoods has created a whisky that’s both bold and beautifully refined. Matured in Rutherglen Tawny casks, the barrels were re-toasted to enhance the oak’s natural sugars, deepening layers of toffee, dark fruit, and warm spice. The result is a rich, complex dram with a distinctive earthy smokiness, shaped by the dramatic seasonal shifts of Yackandandah—where freezing winters and dry summers accelerate flavour development.
