About This Release

Born from a dream, a dollar and a derelict flour mill, Corowa Distilling Co. has become a landmark in Australian whisky. For this exclusive Barrel Lane release, the team turned to rare American oak hogsheads from the Barossa Valley, once home to bold Zinfandel wine.

Medium toasted and paired with Corowa’s fruit-forward new make spirit, these casks deliver a vibrant whisky brimming with red fruit, spice and subtle savoury depth. With only three years in barrel, the result is remarkable maturity and complexity, accelerated by the climate extremes of the Murray River region.

Tasting Notes

• Nose: Dry grape skins and stewed rhubarb, layered with dusty leather, sweet mandarin, vanilla and nutmeg spice.
• Palate: Malty and rich, with roasted chestnuts, juicy cherry, and dark chocolate on a biscuity base.
• Finish: Medium and moreishly dry, savoury with lingering hints of sweetness.
